Hello there! My name is Summer and I am the owner and Licensed Massage Therapist of the Massage Spot. I am from right here in this small town of Remus, Mi. I attended Naturopathic Institute of Therapies and Education in Mt. Pleasant, Mi and graduated in 2006. I worked locally for 7 years relaxing our communitey's residents at various business in the area. Then, May 2013 I opened The Massage Spot in a quaint little room located in The Hot Spot (hence the name) and after a year outgrew that space and moved to our current location. Jan 2015 my mom decided it was time for a change in scenery and came to work with me. Im so thrilled to have the honor to work side by side with her every day. 

I've have been happily married to my wonderful husband for 6 years now and we recently became parents this past March to a set of boy/girl TWINS, Grady and Embry! <3

I was granted Peoples Choice Award for best massage therapist in Mecosta County for 2016!
 


Glenda Montague, LMTHello, my name is Glenda.  I graduated in July of 2010 from Mt. Pleasant Massage Therapy in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan.  I am a Licensed Massage Therapist in the State of Michigan.  I am experienced in Therapeutic Massage, Deep Tissue Massage and Swedish Massage.  I enjoy blending techniques from different types of massage to improve circulation, relieve stress, and increase relaxation to aid in the overall wellness of my clients.  I am also experienced with Hot Stone Massage and various spa treatments such as body exfoiliations, various types of body wraps, and facial massage, 

My husband Jim and I live in Canadian Lakes, Michigan.  We enjoy many outdoor activities, but our favorites would be camping and fishing. I also love animals!  We have two dogs and two cats.  I am on the board of the Riley MacKenzie Fund.  The RMF is a 501 c 3  that raises money through fundraisers, obedience classes, and caring individuals.  We then provides help to stray or abandoned animals for spay & neuter, vaccinations and emergency vet care.  
                                                                
Hello, my name is Brooke. I graduated from Naturopathic Institute of Therapies and Education in 2002. I have studied a wide variety of different massage techniques. I enjoy Swedish Massage, essential oils, hot stones, reflexology, and deep tissue.  I decided to become a massage therapist for one reason, because it is incredibly relaxing and therapeutic to receive a massage. Remember that massage actually heals pain. I enjoy healing other people, so please stop in for an hour of complete peace and relaxation.

Including any other tools that may be incorporated like essential oils. Lets help her get her log hours!

Meet our Trainers and Instructors

Hi, my name is Marissa Richter! I've been married for 5 years and have two boys, 3 years old and almost 2. My passion for health and fitness has been a lifetime passion of mine. It began with sports at a young age while attending Chippewa Hills school, continued with a Bachelors degree in Public Health from CMU in 2012, next I received my certification in group fitness from American Fitness Aerobics Association in 2014. I love what I do so much that during our time together you will find me working out and sweating right along with you!

Meet Marissa! She will be our receptionist, personal trainer, office manager, and right hand man, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 1pm-6pm. She will be the kind voice on the other end of the phone when calling to schedule an appointment, make changes or simply have a few questions, rather than speaking to an answering machine so frequently, shes here to help.






My name is Jennifer Marfio and I've been an AFAA certified Personal Trainer for 6 years. I started my own health journey 8 years ago and lost 90#'s by making healthier lifestyle choices. As a wife, farmer, and mother of 3 busy kids I totally understand how our own health can be put on hold. I enjoy teaching group fitness classes and helping others achieve their fitness goals in classes that are fun, welcoming, and always changing!

Jen will be teaching our "Total Fit" class Monday, Wednesday & Friday mornings at 5a. "Total "Fit" is a 45 minutes fitness class that offers a variety of cardio and strength moves while incorporating HIIT, tabata, triple threat, and other fun training methods. Come and get an amazing workout to start your day off right!





Andrew Criswell is a Registered Yoga Teacher and Certified Teacher of Hatha Yoga, with over 15 years experience teaching classical Hatha Yoga. He received his certification from the Temple of Kriya Yoga, under the direction of Goswami Kriyananda, in 2004. Andrew co-founded The Yoga Place in Midland, Michigan, in 2003. He is currently on the faculty of Central Michigan University, in the department of Physical Education and Sport. He lives in Canadian Lakes, Michigan.

Meet G'ne Holt (my twin cousin). You will now see her bright smiling face on Saturdays 9am-2pm. I am so excited to have her bubbly personality around the office.

My name is G'ne Holt. I'm currently an English teacher at Beal City Public Schools. I am pursuing a Master's degree from Bread Loaf School of English. In my spare time I love reading, writing, and spending time with my boyfriend; we enjoy going for RZR rides, taking vacations, and embracing the great outdoors. I want to lose weight currently, but do so in a way that helps me keep it off when I reach my desired goal. I look forward to working weekends at the gym so I can meet my personal goal of exercising 4-5 days per week. I am ecstatic about helping others reach their personal fitness and diet goals. Come see me every Saturday morning for a smile and an encouraging word or two!
